Ready Steady Cook on my Hendo

I am getting married in a months time (yay!) and to celebrate my friends Lucy & Chris organized a hen-do for me in a hostel near Brighton. We started the day with a walk in the South Downs and Lucy had organised a selection for foods for us to create our own sandwiches for a picnic lunch.

The highlight of the evening was our very own Ready-Steady-Cook show! There were fourteen of us and we were divided into three groups:

  • Group 1 brought ingredients for cocktails
  • Group 2 brought ingredients for a three course meal
  • Group 3 brought ingredients for a three course meal

The idea was that each group would swap ingredients and create a three course meal with the ingredients that they received. However this rule was not quite enforced because Group 2 had brought ingredients for particular receipes and grew quite attached to their plans. So only 2 groups ended up swapping, but that was no loss as Group 2's meal was amazing.

Although at the beginning there was a little confusion on who is doing what, especially as most of the girls had never met before, but it worked really well and soon every group just organized themselves. As you can see the results were phenomenal!
