My colleague Nikki makes the best curry ever!

Last week she shared with me her secret recipe! And it was delicous. Almost as good as if Nikki had made it herself! And its sooo easy. So I decided to share her recipe with the rest of the world. (not such a big secret anymore).

Ingridients: Spices:
  • Chicken
  • Potatoes
  • 2 beef tomatoes
  • Chillies
  • Peas
  • 1 teaspoon chillipowder
  • 1 teaspoon guala masala
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground corriander
  • 2-3 cardamon
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 cinemon stick

1. Heat some sunflower oil in a pot and fry the onions and add the cardamon, cloves & cinemon stick

2. Add the chicken, potatoes, chillies, chopped tomatoes, ginger, garlic and spices and cover with 1 cup of water

3. Wait until the potatoes are done, then take them out and mash them to thicken up the sauce

4. Add frozen peas, cook for 5 minutes and voila!

South African curry
Cannot wait to eat it...
Finished South African Curry
Finished result - but the nan bread is from the supermarket. (That will be my next experiment)
