Homemade German Eiskaffee (coffe and ice cream)
Learn to make authentic German Eiskaffee at home! This heavenly iced coffee combines vanilla ice cream, cold coffee & whipped cream. Just like in German Ice Cream Parlours.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coffee chilled, filter coffee or instant coffee will do. Chilled
For the whipped cream
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cups whipping cream at least 30% fat, double cream / heavy cream will work.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Assembly
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder or chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the coffee (for example filter or even instant coffee). Leave to cool and chill in the fridge.1 cup coffee
- Meanwhile, add the sugar and vanilla extract to the cream and whisk until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.1 cups whipping cream , 2 tbsp sugar , 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to a large glass. Pour the chilled coffee over the ice cream, leaving about an inch of room at the top for the whipped cream. Pipe or spoon the whipped cream on top. Dust with cocoa powder or add chocolate sprinkles.2 scoops vanilla ice cream , 1 tsp cocoa powder
- Serve immediatley with a straw and a teaspoon.
