Homemade German Eiskaffee (coffe and ice cream)
Learn to make authentic German Eiskaffee at home! This heavenly iced coffee combines vanilla ice cream, cold coffee & whipped cream. Just like in German Ice Cream Parlours.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coffee chilled, filter coffee or instant coffee will do. Chilled
For the whipped cream
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cups whipping cream at least 30% fat, double cream / heavy cream will work.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Assembly
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder or chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the coffee (for example filter or even instant coffee). Leave to cool and chill in the fridge.1 cup coffee
- In the meantime,In the meantime, add the sugar and vanilla extract to the cream and whisk until1 cups whipping cream , 2 tablespoon sugar , 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- In a large Glass add two or three scoops of the ice cream. Pour over the cold coffee (do not fill it up to the top). With a spoon or a piping bag with a star tip, add the cream. With a sieve dust the top with some cocoa powder or add some chocolate sprinkles. Add the sugar and vanilla extract to the cream and whisk until stiff .2 scoops vanilla ice cream , 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- Serve with a straw and a teaspoon.
